Bridging Cultures, Building Understanding

Archipel Research and Consulting is an Indigenous-owned company headquartered in the National Capital Region, with research associates based coast to coast to coast in both Canada and the USA. We bring together a diverse team with the intention of bridging worlds of knowledge. Archipel’s team members have years of experience working with Indigenous and newcomer communities.

Our services include facilitation informed by Indigenous methods and design; qualitative and quantitative research informed by Indigenous, decolonizing, and intersectional Black feminist methodologies; curriculum development and presentations that are guided by Indigenous pedagogies; translation to and from a variety of languages; and consulting on issues and knowledge affecting Indigenous nations and racialized and newcomer communities.

Archipel continues to expand, driven by client confidence. We serve various sectors including government, education, non-profits, and Indigenous organizations.

Company Values

Archipel’s ethical commitments are framed by our core values and goals of advancing Indigenous self-determination and equity for diverse communities, including First Nations, Inuit, and Métis, Black communities, other racialized groups, 2SLGBTQQIA+ individuals, religious minorities, and persons with disabilities.

Our approach to our work is governed by and rooted in Indigenous, Black, and other marginalized ways of knowing and being, including principles of ecological and climate justice and decolonization and liberation for oppressed peoples around the world.
