The eldest of 5, Jukipa looks to bring the intersections of holistic wellness, life promotion, and self-empowerment to community work they take part in, that is also culturally rooted in environmental sovereignty and justice.

They have co-created Ivviulutit – a closed BIPOC queer community in Iqaluit. They are currently working on their aviation licensing in Tyendinaga, Ontario in an effort to bridge gaps in accessing wellness services for Inuit Nunangat.

They have earned their bachelor of Indigenous Knowledge with a minor in Psychology from Trent University and have facilitated Indigenous Cultural Competency Workshops with the Government of Nunavut. Currently, Jukipa is exercising these skills and desires to increase empowerment and equity for Inuit as project based a consultant with Archipel Research and Consulting.

Jukipa looks to encourage and practice the honouring of ones capacity, and time, to build on holistic health narratives and discussions- inclusive of spiritual, environmental, and culturally grounded connections within self and their communities. Amidst day-to-day life, they also enjoy swimming, singing, creating, and spending time with family.
