Samoon is a mental health professional and researcher specializing in the mental health of immigrants and newcomers to Canada. He is currently collaborating with Archipel on a curriculum development project for OCASI.

Samoon works closely with leading immigrant-serving organizations, including Muslim Family Services of Ottawa, Jewish Family Services of Ottawa, Ottawa Muslim Community Services, REPFO, and the Afghan Network for Social Services.

With expertise in qualitative research design for social sciences, Samoon has led multiple research projects. His current Ph.D. research focuses on psychotherapy for immigrant communities. As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), Samoon has years of working experience in Afghanistan, India, and Canada, providing psychotherapy services to a diverse clientele.
