The eldest of 5, Jukipa looks to bring the intersections of holistic wellness, life promotion, and self-empowerment to community work they take part in, that is also culturally rooted in environmental sovereignty and justice.

As an experienced facilitator and researcher, Aliqa has contributed to various projects for both Indigenous and non-Indigenous organizations. Her work includes the GALA project, researching Inuit literature from the 1960-1970s, and involvement with the Carleton University Indigenous Strategic Initiatives Committee. Aliqa is fluent in Inuktitut and English.
